With a long-standing background in hospitality and a passion for well-crafted spirits, Shaanah Evans brings a deep appreciation for how quality ingredients contribute to exceptional drinks. Originally coming from the wine world, she developed a strong understanding of environment, care, and the value of a refined palate. Now focused on spirits, she’s actively involved in cocktail design, photography, and spirit marketing in New Zealand. She co-founded New Zealand Gin Day, a celebration of local distilling culture, and created New Zealand Gin Day Gin to showcase the creativity of Kiwi producers. She’s judged for both the New Zealand Spirits Awards 2024 and Dish Magazine’s 2024 Gin Awards.
